  • HOW DO I USE ONLINE BANKING?
    • There is an Online Help tab once you are logged on, that is very helpful, or you can call your Community Bank of the South customer service representative at 770-436-4567.

  • IS THERE A CHARGE FOR USING ONLINE BANKING?
    • No, Online Banking is completely free for the convenience of our customers.

  • WHAT IS MY ACCESS ID?
    • For first time log on users, your ACCESS ID is an account number for Which you are a signer at Community Bank of the South. (This account number should be an account you consider your primary account not a Certificate of Deposit or a Loan).
    • For repeat users, your ACCESS ID is whatever you chose the first time you logged on.
      • If ACCESS ID has been forgotten please call online customer service at 678-781-9043.
      • ACCESS ID must be at least 6 characters.

  • WHAT IS MY PASSWORD THE FIRST TIME I LOG ON TO ONLINE BANKING?
    • The last four digits of your social security number.
      • If you are a Telephone Banking user, and you have previously changed your pin access on Telephone Banking, your logon for Online Banking will be the same as Telephone Banking. Please note the first time you log on to Online Banking, it will prompt you to change your password. This will NOT change your password for Telephone Banking.

  • HOW LONG DOES MY PASSWORD NEED TO BE?
    • The password must be a minimum of 6 characters including 1 number and 1 letter.

  • I FORGOT MY ONLINE PASSWORD, WHAT DO I DO?
    • Call Community Bank of the South's online banking hotline 678-781-9043.

  • IS THE WEB SITE FOR ONLINE BANKING SECURE?
    • Yes, By convention web sites that require a secure connection start with https: instead of http:
    • Anytime encryption is being used for a secure site, you will see a padlock on the bottom of the screen.
    • A security alert will pop up when trying to log on.

  • WHEN I PLACE A STOP PAYMENT IS IT REAL TIME?
    • Yes, if the Stop payment is placed before 4:00PM, it will be effective immediately. If placed after 4:00PM it is considered the next business day.
    • Please note you cannot place a stop payment on an Electronic item (ex. ACH/POS).

  • HOW DO I VIEW IMAGES OF MY CHECKS?
    • Check images can be viewed on all transactions except current day. To view a check image click on the Transactions button. Then from the "Check Number" Column select the check image you want to view and click it. This will display the front of the check. To view the back of the check simply click the "View Back of Check" button.

  • MY COMPUTER WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO VIEW ONLINE BANKING.

  • I CANNOT SEE THE BILL PAYMENT OPTION, WHAT DO I DO?
  • WHAT DO I DO IF I THINK MY VENDOR HAS NOT BEEN PAID?
    • Call or E-Mail the Online Banking Department at Community Bank of the South at 678-781-9043 or online@cbsouth.com, and we will research the item immediately.

  • HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR A VENDOR TO RECEIVE MY PAYMENT?
    • 5-7 Business days after initiating the transaction.

  • WHAT TYPES OF BILLS CAN I PAY ONLINE?
    • You can pay any merchant or individual with the following exceptions:
      • Tax Payments
      • Court ordered payments
      • Payments to payees outside of the United States
